Chicago, April 20, 2013 – Today™ announced three additional honorees for the 7th Annual Esteem Awards. is pleased to announce filmmaker Patrick-Ian Polk; Atlanta based web series Between Women and LGBT community ally newspaper Laura S. Washington are among this year’s honorees.  These individuals have contributed to the diverse and rich history that is part of the LGBTQ fabric. The event reception will take place in Chicago on Saturday July 6 at Sidetrack 3349 N. Halsted from 2PM-4PM.

· Outstanding Newspaper Reporter: Laura S. Washington, The Chicago Sun-Times

· Artistic Expression: Filmmaker Coquie Hughes

· Special Recognition Award: The Chicago Gay & Lesbian Hall of Fame
