PrideIndex.com recently discovered our long lost interview of Louisville native Jaison Gardner. Gardner, whose nick name is IQ due to his high intelligence, is a community activist unafraid to share his opinions on social ills.

He is a board of the Kentuckiana AIDS Alliance the governing body of the Louisville AIDS Walk and regular fixture at community rallies including a recent event to show support of Ferguson, MO slain youth Michael Brown.
Gardner along with co-host Dr. Kaila Afrekete Story can be heard on the radio show Strange Fruit: Musings on Politics, Pop Culture, and Black Gay Life on WFPL 89.3 FM. The show will celebrate its 100 episode this week.
Here we discussed everything from his beginnings as leader /mentor of the House of Imperial, why activism plays such an important role in his life and how he got his nickname.
