
The Esteem Awards seeks to recognize outstanding African American/POC, LGBTQ+ individuals, organizations, and our allies.
Nominees should be individuals and organizations that have made some substantial contributions to the African American/POC and LGBTQ+ communities, whether in the fields of politics, entertainment, health, business, and/or other areas.
The following is a list of categories we seek nominations in both the Chicago area and nationally:
Outstanding Service, Male
Outstanding Service, Female
Outstanding Service, Transgender
Future Leaders: (honorees under the age of 40)
Outstanding Social Services/CBO
Institutional Award
Special Recognition
Artistic Expression
Outstanding Healthcare Professional (new)
Individuals themselves, organizations, co-workers, etc., can nominate a person or organization by sending an e-mail to Phil Esteem. The nomination information should be in one paragraph of 100 words or less and state the nominee’s achievements or contributions. Nominators can include their own names and contact information as well as the age and contact information of the nominee. Those nominations can be sent to Esteemfeedback@hotmail.com.

Finalist will be notified and recognized at a ceremony Saturday, July 1, at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted.
