It’s approximately one week from showtime for the 2022 Esteem Awards, part of Chicago’s Black Gay weekend. As the excitement and anticipation are building by the second moment, I wish I could add another couple of hours to the day to ensure I get everything done.
The Esteem Awards is a 501c3 organization dedicated to promoting positive images of the African American/People of Color, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ)+ communities. Our 15th Annual community awards celebration will take place at Sidetrack from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, and this is a free event. Door prizes and hors d’ourves will be served.
